Creating art has always been a passion, ever since I was little I would always like to paint and draw, so I always knew that in the future I would become a designer or an artist in some way creating art wether that be in designing or creating art. From high school, I was able to gain experience in using Photoshop and making digital artwork over creating traditional hand made artworks such as paintings and drawings that I was interested when I was younger.
Through this experience, I was able to find out that I like to create digital artworks over using pen and paper, this meant that I spent most of my time making digital art such as drawing on my iPad and making graphic posters. I can see myself as a designer developing my skills and techniques to make better pieces of art.
When it comes to designing, I see myself as a perfectionist, trying to create the perfect piece of art at the start without creating steps to build up. Which makes me not want to start anything, however, I see myself these days trying to focus less on creating 'perfect' designs rather building up to create unique pieces of art as the quote shares that
"A beautiful thing is never perfect." (Egyptian Proverb)
Another passion I always had was fashion. I like to buy clothes and look at clothes. When coming to UoA and attending workshops in the FabLAB, I was able to find more ways to create new things such as using the laser cutter and seeing how people also use it within fashion by creating designs on clothes and creating unique designs.
In the future, as I lack any knowledge in fashion design, I would like to explore more of this and create clothing items as my interest is growing day by day as I believe that not only as a designer but an artist creating work of art we should all try new things to help develop the different ways of self-reflection and our true identity.
