For this weeks lab, we learnt how to use the software Unity.

Unity is a software that was founded in 2004 by Unity Technologies - Nicholas Francis, Joachim Ante, and David Helgason. It further launched in 2005 (Peckham, 2019). The software is used for game development and it has created many popular games such as Temple Run, Angry Birds, INSIDE and Super Mario Run (Sinicki, 2020).

This was my first time learning about Unity and trying it out. Through the design lab I was able to learn the basics of it and how to navigate around the software as a beginner, I then further watch other tutorials on Youtube to help wrap my head around software more and how it is used to create games and applications whether that be through Virtual Reality or Augmented Reality where virtual images mix with the world around us (Billinghurst, 2020).
